November 13th:
Today the students had their second warm up quiz.
The students took the first 20 minutes to complete this open note quiz. The students could use their warm up notebooks on this quiz individually.
We then moved class to the computer lab, room 202, where the students finished their pre-write/layout and moved on to typing their first draft.
The students typed their paper on a google doc that they can assess at home.
Any student who does not get to finish their first draft should do so for homework.
Homework:
If students did not get their orange card signed by Thursday of last week they should do so
ASAP
.
Finish first draft for class tomorrow!

the informative paper is due at the end of class on Thursday 11/16!

November 14th:
Today the students were in the media center.
The students continued to work on and finish their first draft.
If they finished during class they moved on to revising and editing their paper.
Homework:
If students did not get their orange card signed by Thursday of last week they should do so
ASAP
.

November 15th:
To start class we worked on the format of the paper.
The paper format is as followed:
Font: Times New Roman
Font Size: 12
Spacing: Double
Header should contain:
Student first and last name
Teacher name (Ms. Lorenzen)
Subject (7-4 ELA)
Due Date (November 16, 2017)
Then the students worked with a partner and focused on peer editing.
Students switched papers with their partner and read through their partners paper 3 different times.
Students followed a handout to help guide them through the editing process.
When students finished editing hey moved on to typing their Final draft draft.
Homework:
If students did not get their orange card signed by Thursday of last week they should do so
ASAP
.

November 16th:
Today the students finished peer editing and revising their paper for the first half of class.
Halfway through class the students turned to work on their work cited.
At the end of class the student printed their final copy of their paper and turned it in.
Homework:
If students did not get their orange card signed by Thursday of last week they should do so
ASAP
November 17th:
Today was the last day for the students to work on their informative paper.
At the end of class the students turned in their paper.
Any student who did not turn in their paper should do so ASAP!
