At the beginning of class the students were given their IBD test back.
During class the students were given the opportunity to complete test corrections if they received a grade lower than a 70. (All students completed test corrections for a classwork grade)
The tests were then collected again.
Any student who needs to complete test corrections for points to reach a 70% needs to do so by Friday, September 22nd.
When students were finished with their test corrections, or if they did not have test corrections they were to reread Dragonwings and complete the text dependent questions/perfect paragraph handout.

Today students had their first warm up pop quiz in ELA.
Students were able to use their warm ups to help them on this quiz.
These quizzes are to help students fine tune their grammar skills that we practice during our warm ups everyday.

The class then moved on to physically drawing out the layout of a perfect paragraph on a poster provided by myself with a group.

Papers were also passed back to the students that were and that were not graded.
Then, the class moved on to listen to the short story Seventh Grade by Gary Soto. After listening and following along to the story in their textbook, the students completed a TDQ handout with a partner. Any student who does not finish this needs to finish for homework.
